Where do I go to see you? We meet each *Wednesday Evening between 1900hrs and 2100hrs at Eglinton Primary School, Woodvale Road Eglinton, L/Derry
How do I get there? Eglinton PS is situated on the Woodvale Road heading out of the village towards Claudy on the Woodvale Road
Who will I ask for when I arrive? Just come into the school and ask for Linda
What will I do? Linda with a cadet will talk to you and tell you a bit more about the organisation

Here are a few of the questions we get asked about joining the army cadets
Q. Will I enjoy it?
A. This is a question you can really only answer yourself. Take a look at the activities on this web site. If they interest you, then pay a visit to your local detachment. If you like what you see, and are prepared to apply self-discipline, and then you will certainly enjoy yourself.
Q. How long does it take me to join?
A. Come along and see us, stay the first night if you like it, we post home an enrollment form to your parents, they sign it and bring it back the next week and your in.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. The ACF is one of the cheapest youth organasitions, you will have to pay a small detachment weekly sub (charge) weekends away usually cost no more than £5 unless for special events.
Q. Will I get a uniform?
A. When you attend for 6 weeks you willbe issued a uniform this will consist of:
The only peice of uniform you need to buy yourself is a
"Pair of Black Boots"
Q. How long do I have to stay in the cadets?
A. You stay as long as you want up to the age of 18, if you don't like it, all you do is hand back the uniform and leave.
Q. Do I go away?
A. Yes, cadets go to the Cadet Training Centre at Magilligan for weekends approx. 4 times per year from Friday @1930 hrs until Sunday 1530 hrs the cost for this is £5.00 and we also have different weekends away to Enniskillen, this will cost that bit more due to us being self catering.
We also have a 2 week camp in the summer when you break up from school to England, Scotland or Wales, and the cost of this is approx. £50 each.
